Children today do not look for news on traditional news sources. Instead most of the time an algorithm selects what they see on WhatsApp, Youtube or Instagram. Hence, thinking critically, fact-checking, interpreting and evaluating the information you receive, wherever it appears, is a crucial skill. However, young people lack these basic skills of digital evaluation according to a study released by Stanford Education Group in 2016. The lecture aims to fill in this gap through CS-based approach of simultaneous learning and knowledge making.
