Ambient Noise

Another fundamental aspect of the enjoyment of a museum environment is its acoustics. In these kinds of environments, in fact, the right quiet must be ensured, but it’s also important that the acoustics of the place allow the transmission of a clearly perceived sound without noise disturbances.

This and the next didactic activity will allow students to understand the basic physics principles of the propagation of sound in the air and how this can be influenced by sound-absorbing materials, called insulators.
